Alto is a communication-design company, with a passion for online communication. We see ourselves as crafting user-experiences, not just making attractive interfaces. Our core operations consist of big thinking, design, communication and developing creative and strategic solutions for communicating via the internet and other technological media.

The Church are brand identity development experts and required an interface design team that would be able to serve this web-based project with vision and energy. They enlisted us to do the interface design.

Working collaboratively, we delivered this ambitious project together.

Collaborative development has its high and low points. It’s certainly a challenge getting two creative companies around a project. The problem wasn’t a paucity of ideas, rather ownership and boundaries. Oh, Designers…!

There were moments when toes got stepped on, egos got bruised and boundaries between roles got blurry. Of course they did. It’s a sign of a vigorous and creatively-fuelled process! The resulting product is magnificently more complex and fantastic in all ways that any one of our companies could have delivered on our own. So we salute the process and the journey, and look forward to future collaborations with other talented individuals on other stimulating projects!
